Our 70th Independence day is here and there are many things happening to mark this occasion. Like every year, the flag hoisting will take place and we all will sing the national anthem with great pride. But, there is something different and special happening this year. This year somebody else is also taking a step to pay respect to the national anthem.

The video of the national anthem being sung in sign language is moving the nation. This video features Amitabh Bachan and children with disabilities as well. The picturisation of the video with Amitabh Bachan in the center is beautiful. This video where the kids sing the national anthem with pride will definitely touch your heart. The video is launched by the Human Resource Department and directed by the veteran filmmaker Govind Nihalani.

The minister of state for HRD has praised the Prime Minister for taking a step to include children with disability who are addressed as ‘ divyangjan’ instead of viklang which is a common term. There are reservations also increased to give better access to such kids. This video is aimed at creating awareness and more acceptance in the society.
