Homosexuality is no more crime in India – Supreme Court.

Homosexuality finally sees new hopes as it is no longer a crime in India. The ban on sex against “the order of nature” has finally gained acceptance in India. A five judge bench passed the law and many put out their opinion about the law.
The judge bench has also gone ahead and apologized for the law that was earlier in practice.

The announcement of the decision early on Thursday drew loud cheers from a crowd of LBGT Indians and their supporters, gathered on a lawn outside the supreme court. It is a great first step that the county has taken towards the acceptance of LBGT community.

The section 377 verdict has brought joy and happiness among the community. It is a battle that has won and brought new hopes as well.The decision appears to mark the end of a fraught path to legalizing homosexuality in modern India. Early cases filed in 1994 and then 2001 bounced back and forth for years between higher courts reluctant to rule on the issue.
